All three are fundraisers – the first in May was by the Coon Rapids VFW Men’s Auxiliary, the second in July was hosted by the Coon Rapids VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary and the third Saturday was put on by the VFW itself.

All three events raised money for the veterans and community service programs of the VFW and the two auxiliaries.

The flea market, plus a car boot sale and expo, took up the open space on the Coon Rapids Boulevard frontage of the VFW building as well as a small portion of the parking.

Inside the VFW, there was a military book fair.

Food and beverages were also available during the seven-hour event.
