TAKE NOTICE, that pursuant to the requirements of Minnesota Law, a public hearing shall be held before the Nowthen Planning and Zoning Commission at a special meeting on Monday, October 7th, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at Nowthen City Hall located at 19800 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Nowthen, Minnesota 55303 regarding the following matter:
A REQUEST for a Conditional Use Permit by Joe and Mary Ann Green to allow the continuation of two principal uses (two residences) on property owned at 19949 St. Francis Boulevard (PID# 24-33-25-42-0005). Mr. Green wishes to demolish an existing +/-550 square foot residence and replace it with a +/-1,092 square foot residence. On September 19th, 2013, the City Council of the City of Nowthen approved an exception to the development moratorium within Commercial C Zoning Districts for the Greens property based on the long-term anticipated interim use of this +/-126 acre property for agricultural operations, no change in property boundaries, no change in vehicular access or traffic generation, no conflicts in the area of anticipated frontage road location, and no request for development of commercial or industrial land uses.
At such hearing both written and oral comments will be heard. The City Council will act on this request at its October 8th, 2013 regular meeting. Contact the City of Nowthen at 763-441-1347 with any questions or concerns.
