Fire department hosting four open houses

In recognition of National Fire Prevention Week Oct. 6-12, the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View Fire Department will be hosting open houses at each of its four fire stations in late September and early October.

The events give residents a chance to explore a fire truck, ride in the bucket of a ladder truck, spray a hose, watch firefighters in action and learn home safety tips.

The first open house is 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at Fire Station No. 1, 1710 County Road 10, in Spring Lake Park.

The second open house is 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30 at Fire Station No. 2, 1149 89th Ave. NE, in Blaine.

The third open house is 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Fire Station No. 3, 11920 Ulysses St. NE, in Blaine.

The fourth open house is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at Fire Station No. 4, 10290 Lever St. NE, in Blaine.
