FYI: Cardettes, SBAA events and basketball clinics

Cardettes upcoming events 

Coon Rapids High School’s Cardettes will host its annual fall show and mini-card clinic at Coon Rapids High School Oct. 5.

The mini-card clinic is open to girls pre-school to eighth grade from 9-11:30 a.m. The mini-cards will learn a routine with help from the high school dance team and will perform during that evening’s show. Doors open at at 6 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. show. The Cardettes and several area dance teams will perform including a guy/girl routine and role-model/dancer performance.

The Cardettes will host the second stop on the Northwest Suburban Conference Dance Team winter season schedule, Nov. 22. Start time is yet to be determined.

 

Soderville/Blaine Athletic Association

Soderville/Blaine Athletic Association’s annual meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Oct. 8 at the SBAA building (1831 153rd. Ave. NE, Ham Lake).

SBAA is now accepting registration for Bengal Travling Fastpitch tryouts (Oct. 5) which are open to girls nine and older.

Basketball clinic

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Basketball Academy is hosting a youth basketball clinic (boys and girls ages 7-14) at Coon Rapids High School from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 17. Each participant receives a vocher for a free ticket to a 2013-14 Timberwolves home game. For more information or to register log-on to nba.com/timberwolves/meaclinics.
