Coon Rapids investigating Lilli Putt burglary

The Coon Rapids Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at Lilli Putt, 1349 Coon Rapids Blvd., Monday night.

A motion alarm sent police to the outdoor entertainment center at 12:20 a.m. Oct. 1 where they found the service door to the garage had been forced open and the gate leading to the garage open with the lock lying on the ground.

According to the police report, a red, two-seat go-cart was reported missing from the garage.

Video surveillance showed a white male forcing open the gate and garage door at 7:44 p.m. Monday evening with a white female acting as a lookout.

Then surveillance showed the same man return at 12:12 a.m. Tuesday and ride off on the go-cart in an unknown direction.

The male was described as in his 20s, average build, wearing red and gray shorts with a white stripe down the side and gray T-shirt.

The woman was described as being younger, wearing short denim shorts and a pink tank top.

When the suspect returned shortly after midnight, surveillance video showed him wearing hoodie or jacket.

Searching the area, police found a pickup truck black aluminum topper lying on its side along the wood line of Al Flynn Park, which is adjacent to Lilli Putt, and seized it as potential evidence.
