Cardettes upcoming events 

Coon Rapids High School’s Cardettes will host their annual fall dance show and mini-Card clinic at Coon Rapids High School Oct. 5.

The clinic is open to girls pre-school to eighth grade from 9-11:30 a.m. The mini-Cards will learn a routine with help from the high school dance team and will perform during in that evening’s show. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. show. The Cardettes and several area dance teams will perform including a guy/girl routine and role-model/dancer performance.

The Cardettes will host the second stop on the Northwest Suburban Conference Dance Team winter season schedule, Nov. 22. Start time has yet to be determined.

Ski swap in Anoka

District 11 alpine ski teams and Pinewski’s Ski and Board Shop will host the third annual ski and snowboard swap from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 12 in Pinewski’s parking lot at 546 West Main St. in Anoka. Product drop-off will run from 4-8 p.m. Oct. 11.

Soderville/Blaine Athletic Association

Soderville/Blaine Athletic Association’s annual meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Oct. 8 at the SBAA building (1831 153rd Ave. NE, Ham Lake).

SBAA is now accepting registration for Bengal traveling fast pitch tryouts (Oct. 5) which are open to girls nine and older.

Basketball clinic

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Basketball Academy is hosting a youth basketball clinic (boys and girls ages 7-14) at Coon Rapids High School from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 17. Each participant receives a voucher for a free ticket to a 2013-14 Timberwolves home game. For more information or to register log-on to nba.com/timberwolves/meaclinics.
