Northtown celebrates Viking days

Northtown’s First Birthday Celebration will continue through this weekend with a Viking Days program.

This evening, Viking back, Chuck Foreman will make a personal appearance in the South Mall between 7 and 9 p.m., and Hub Mead, Vikings mascot, will be on hand to entertain from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 6, the First Annual Viking Tailgate Party will take place in the East parking lot.

A grand opening for health clinic

Through the cooperative effort of many people and organizations, St. Mary’s Health Clinic opened its newest facility in Spring Lake Park Sept. 30.

Sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, the facility is the eighth clinic to open in the Twin Cities to give health care to those who cannot afford it.
