The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in apprehending those responsible for multiple arson fires in Andover over the past three days.
According to the sheriff’s office, four fires have been set to occupied and unoccupied single-family homes in a neighborhood east of Hanson Boulevard on the 152nd to 158th blocks near Yellowpine Street and the surrounding area. Damage to the homes has been minimal to moderate.
The sheriff’s office is asking all residents of this area to be extra vigilant of suspicious activity taking place after dark. The sheriff’s office is devoting all available resources to investigate these fires and arrest the perpetrator(s) responsible.
Anyone with information involving the arson fires should call the sheriff’s office at 763-323-5000, but call 911 immediately if you see any suspicious activity.
