The MOMS Club of Coon Rapids is hosting its second annual craft and vendor boutique Saturday, Nov. 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Coon Rapids Evangelical Free Church, 2650 128th Ave. NW.
The boutique will feature local vendors and artists with unique handcrafted items, which make great gifts for loved ones and their homes, according to Simone Simon of the MOMS Club of Coon Rapids.
There will also be representatives from home-based businesses to sell tried-and-true merchandise, Simon said.
For a current list of participating crafters and vendors, visit the event website at www.boutique.momsclubcrn.org/vendors.html.
All proceeds from the boutique will fund the club’s annual Anoka County Adopt-a-Family service project this holiday season.
“This is an annual undertaking for the club, which raises as much money as possible to sponsor the larger families that others may not be able to afford,” Simon said.
“Last year’s boutique raised over $1,500 that helped support families in need over the holidays.
The boutique will also feature a bake sale and raffles. Admission is free.
“The MOMS Club of Coon Rapids is passionate about supporting causes that aid mothers and children in our community,” Simon said.
“In addition to providing support and social networking for mothers at home with their kids, our chapter works fervently to give back in ways like this; last year we raised over $1.700, all of which went back into the community.
“These are local moms working to improve their community.”
The craft and vendor boutique will not only contribute money and goods to local charities, but will also serve to create a community shopping outlet that supports original crafters and small businesses, according to Simon.
