National president visits Anoka American Legion Auxiliary

The Anoka American Legion Auxiliary of Post 102 had the great honor of hosting a dinner Sept. 30 for the National American Legion Auxiliary President Nancy Brown Park from California.

The event was attended by members of the American Legion family from the district and department as well as many members from Post 102.

Brown Park was on a three-day tour visiting the state of Minnesota so that she could meet the Minnesota American Legion Auxiliary members and seeing the works of the Minnesota membership.

She visited the Minneapolis VA Hospital to see the works of the brain science and spinal cord program as well as the veterans while there.

Brown Park also toured the Fischer House and Legionville. She spoke of her theme for the year which is “Pass it On.”

Other speakers for the evening were Shirley Frederick, Department of Minnesota ALA president and Donna Redepenning, the 10th District president who is from Anoka Unit 102.
