Things get ‘Reckless’ in fine arts center

Things are going to get reckless this month when the Spring Lake Park High School theater department presents its fall play, “Reckless.” The play is about Rachel, who loves Christmas so very much. But, an unexpected gift from her husband turns her life upside down and sends her life in a strange new direction.

Rachel’s path is full of fascinating characters and topsy-turvy plot twists, which threaten to overtake her unbridled enthusiasm and winsome optimism.

Eventually Rachel creates her own gift, one of wisdom and insight, as she realizes that though life can be reckless with our hearts, there is hope for light – and possibly redemption – at the end of the tunnel.

“Reckless” performances are 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1 and Nov. 8; 6 p.m. Nov. 9, and 2 p.m. Nov. 2 in the high school’s Fine Arts Center (1100 81st Ave. NE, Spring Lake Park).
