Caribou Coffe opens at Anoka’s Main and Ferry

Anoka’s newest coffee house, Caribou Coffee, opened Oct. 25 – just one day before thousands of people came downtown for the Halloween Capital of the World’s Grand Day Parade.

“It was crazy. The whole front end was packed and we had to hop on right away,” said front end greeter Ashly Bohlman.

And the baristas got into the holiday spirit, dressing in costume on Grand Day Parade day and on Halloween day, too.

“It’s fun to be here and some of us had customers from the Coon Rapids Caribou who followed us here to Anoka,” Bohlman said, describing the loyalty she and others experienced after training at the Coon Rapids Caribou to work at the Anoka coffee shop.

Caribou Coffee is a specialty coffee and espresso retailer selling coffee, tea, and bakery goods in 415 company-owned coffeehouses in 40 states and the District of Columbia, as well as 126 franchise locations worldwide.
