Host of activities at Adams’ extravaganza

Adams Elementary School, Coon Rapids, hosted its annual extravaganza the evening of Nov. 12.

Activities took place in classrooms throughout the school, while musician James Hersch presented a concert in the gymnasium with Adams third-grade students and refreshments were served in the cafeteria.

Activities includes face painting, book walk, crafty creations, origami, book making, henna hand design, mad science, science fun, bonkers for bookmarkers and everyday math.

In addition, parents were invited to find out if they were smarter than a fifth-grader, while a Springbrook Nature Center naturalist brought along some animals, including a small snake to pet, and pelts.

There was also a clothes closet with free gently used clothing for families to take home with them.

And curriculum information was available in classrooms for parents of students of all grades.
