Immediate needs for clothing, food items

Anoka-Hennepin’s Pathways and Family Welcome Center have immediate needs for specific clothing and food items.

Karrie Schaaf, the district’s homeless youth and families liaison, said donations can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Family Welcome Center, located at the Coon Rapids Family Center Mall, 11238 Crooked Lake Blvd. NW. For more information, call 763-433-4680.


• Boys: 2T shirts, 2T pants, 4-14 pants, 6-16 shirts

• Girls: 2T shirts, 2T pants, 4T pants, 5T pants, 6-12 shirts

• Junior boys: small shirts, pants in sizes 27-31

• Junior girls: large shirts

• Men: small shirts

• Women: small, medium and large shirts

• Adults: All sizes of winter boots

• Food, toiletries, school supplies:

Donations of canned tuna and chicken, dried beans, boxes or bags of plain rice, pasta sauce, canned peas, canned fruit, granola bars, dish soap, new or gently used backpacks, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant and feminine hygiene products are also needed.
