Blaine police investigating drive-by shooting

Blaine Police are investigating why someone fired a gun at another car Tuesday afternoon.

Police Chief Chris Olson said police received a call at 2:06 p.m. about the incident, which happened on University Avenue near the County Road 10 intersection.

Witness reports say that someone from a “light colored passenger car” fired about four rounds at another vehicle.

Nobody was hurt, said Olson.

Authorities believe there may be some connection between the people in the two vehicles, he said.

At least one round hit a window at Leeann Chin, but Olson said it appears it was a ricochet.

The suspect vehicle was last seen heading south on University Avenue, but no other information about this incident is available.
