The level three and four band, choir and orchestra each performed for 20 minutes during the midday Holidays Under the Glass Series (HUGS) concert.

“This is the only time we perform these songs, and you have to be invited to be part of the HUGS performance in the Crystal Court, so it is pretty special,” said band director Sabrina Olson, who said the middle school has been invited every year for the past 20 years.

Dozens of parents and grandparents joined downtown business people, relaxing in the Crystal Court and enjoying an especially festive lunch break.

“It’s such a fun venue in which to perform,” Olson said. “It’s quite something for the kids and it’s always great to hear people who are working downtown come up and compliment us and thank us for making their day.”
