The Blaine Arts Council extends a call to photographers to submit entries for the 2014 Art of Photography juried art show.
Photographers can enter up to three images of varying subject matter for display and award consideration.
Images in the third annual show will be exhibited Dec. 30 through Jan. 31 at Blaine City Hall. Photographers will be awarded best of show, first-, second and third-place recognition in the contest, juried by Molly Cronk.
Photographs can be dropped off at city hall (10801 Town Square Dr. NE, Blaine) from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 17, 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 24, or 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 23, 26, and 27.
Images must be wired and ready to hang – no alligator clips. Also, each photograph must be accompanied by an entry/release form, available at www.blaineparks.com (search for “Blaine Arts Council”) or by stopping by the Blaine Parks and Recreation Department at city hall during normal business hours.
Photographs on display during the art show may be offered for sale; however, any exchange of funds must be done directly between the artist and the purchaser.
All photos – including any sold images – will remain on display at city hall for the duration of the exhibit, and may not be claimed until after 4 p.m. Jan. 31 but must be removed by 2 p.m. Feb. 1.
The city of Blaine reserves the unconditional right not to accept or display any photograph. Also, the city is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to any of the images.
