Blaine police to ask citizens to obey snowmobile laws

Blaine police chief Charles Merriman reports that, with the recent snowfalls, the police department has begun to receive questions and complaints about the operation of snowmobiles. He asks all residents to abide by the regulations of City Ordinance 261, regulating the use of snowmobiles.

Blaine gives preliminary racetrack IRB approval

Blaine city council last week unanimously passed a resolution giving preliminary approval to issue up to $50 million in Industrial Revenue Bonds (IRBs) to the Center Companies, which would allow them to build a proposed racetrack facility in Blaine.

Lions give to families for holidays

The Spring Lake Park Lions, like many Lions Club organizations, prepared food baskets for the holidays. In all, the Lions supported 129 families, with each family receiving enough food for three days and a good holiday dinner. The Lions also had toys for kids, including many handmade wooden toys from TLC.
