TV researchers conduct study at Madison school

Two researchers from the Children’s Television Workshop, creaters of Sesame Street and The Electric Company, conducted a week-long study at Madison Elementary School this past week. They worked with students and staff using instructional materials based on the Sesame Street and The Electric Company shows.

New Ham Lake Library to open

Anoka County Ham Lake Library announces the dates for its move to larger quarters in the Crosstown Mall. Use of the Ham Lake Library has grown steadily since its opening in 1978.

A holiday shave

It was one of the more memorable holiday seasons at Blaine high school this year. Not only did the students break their school record by donating more than 8,700 food items to local food shelves, but they also got to witness home economics teacher Carl Savick get his head shaved. With music from the school’s choir and orchestra, Savick and his new doo were led by Santa’s helpers around the fieldhouse to thundering applause.
