University of Minnesota, Mankato, student dance teachers visited the middle school’s Fred Moore and Washington campuses practicing and perfecting their delivery of lessons, while middle school dancers developed a deeper appreciation for rhythm and line, grace and emotion expressed with every movement.

At Fred Moore, Nora Schull’s second-year dance students learned from students in Prof. Julie Kerr-Berry’s UM Mankato class.

Schull is a product of that teacher’s expertise, having been a student in Kerr-Berry’s class 10 years ago.

“This is really something – to have my students learning from students in my former professor’s class,” Schull said. “I really enjoyed that class, so this is really fun.”
