A man has been charged in Anoka County District Court in connection with the theft of two pairs of earrings worth some $1,300 from a Blaine residence.
The Anoka County Attorney’s Office Dec. 4 filed a felony receiving stolen property charge against Ryan Mathew Celusnak, 20, New Brighton. His first court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 14.
Blaine Police received a report from a Blaine woman about the theft of her earrings after she was at the Pawn America store, Coon Rapids, Aug. 2 and had seen a pair of her earrings, which were described as Harley Davidson stud earrings with Black Hills gold leaves.
The police investigation found that May 30, Celusnak had pawned both pairs of earrings at the store, according to the complaint.
Surveillance video from the pawn store showed a person pawning the earrings and that individual allegedly matched Celusnak’s photo.
The woman told police her son is a friend of Celusnak and when police spoke to the son, he alleged that Celusnak was at his home around the time of the theft.
