State League of Women Voters director to speak in Andover

The new executive director for League of Women Voters Minnesota, Susan Sheridan Tucker, will be the guest of the League of Women Voters ABC on Monday, Jan. 13 at Andover City Hall’s Senior Center. Social time is at 6 p.m. followed by the program at 6:30 p.m.

The community is invited to hear a presentation about challenges and opportunities of League of Women Voters today from national, regional and local perspectives.

Also on hand will be Deborah Price, membership chairperson for League of Women Voters Minnesota, who is leading the state’s membership and leadership development program. This national program provides training and mentoring to increase community visibility and membership for League of Women Voters.

League of Women Voters Minnesota is a non-partisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy. There are 36 local leagues that are active across the state.

The ABC chapter comprises women and men from north and northwest metro communities. Andover Senior Center is located at 1685 Crosstown Blvd. NW. Enter the city hall parking lot from Crosstown and proceed to the end of the parking lot.
