Stories of ‘Women and War’ told on stage at SLPHS

Spring Lake Park High School’s talented thespians bring “Women and War” to center stage. The one-act play will be presented 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24 and 25 at the high school’s Fine Arts Center.

ArtsSLPHS1Through correspondence and monologue, this 35-minute play weaves together a selection of fictional stories based on historical fact, told by generations of Americans impacted by conflict from the Great War to the war in Afghanistan.

Tickets to “Women and War” (which will also be the high school’s entry in the Minnesota State High School League’s One-Act Play Competition) are available at the door. Cost is $5 for adults; $3 for students.
