A community art contest for Coon Rapids students will be part of the 50th anniversary of Coon Rapids Snowflake Days.
Sponsored by the Coon Rapids Arts Commission, the Snowflake Days Arts Expo will take place Sunday, Feb. 16 with the art work displayed in the PGA Hall of Fame room at Bunker Hills Golf Course from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Students can enter original art work, but no photographs and there is a limit of one entry per student.
Each entry should be no larger than eight by 10 inches.
There will be four divisions – grades K-two, three-five, six-eight and nine-12.
Prizes will be awarded to the first-place winner in each category.
Judges will be members of the Coon Rapids Snowflake Days Committee and all decisions will be final.
Entries should be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12.
They can be dropped off at the Coon Rapids City Center or mailed to Coon Rapids City Center, Attention: Snowflake Days Arts Expo, 11155 Robinson Dr. NW., Coon Rapids, MN 55433.
Name, home address, school and grade of student artist should be included.
