Anoka Middle School for the Arts presents a powerful stage adaptation of William Golding’s award winning novel, “Lord of the Flies.”
This terrifying story follows a group of boys whose plane crashes on a tropical island, killing all the adults, leaving the boys to survive on their own.
Soon things take an even darker turn as some of the boys learn of a “beast” lurking in the woods. The boys must fight to survive against the beast and against themselves.
Because of the nature of this play, this production may not be suitable for small children.
Adapted for the stage by playwright Nigel Williams, “Lord of the Flies” is directed by Jefferson Fietek with costume design by Lucas Skjaret and lighting design by Stirling Callander. Set designer is Matt Kari and graphic designer is Tara Nitz.
