Man accused of downloading child porn

A Coon Rapids man has been accused of downloading child pornography from his home computer.

The Anoka County Attorney’s Office has charged Eric David Sorsoleil, 33, with five felony counts of possession of pornographic work involving minors.

Sorsoleil will be arraigned in Anoka County District Court March 3.

The afternoon of March 29, 2012, Coon Rapids Police officers executed a search warrant at a Wren Street residence after receiving information that a person at the address had been downloading child pornography, according to the complaint.

Officers seized a computer and storage media and registry on the computer, as well as several of the active programs, allegedly identified the owner-user of the computer as Sorsoleil.

Forensic examinations of the computer and storage media allegedly revealed 51 suspected child pornography videos.

The video files were sent to the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, where it determined that five of the videos were of children the center had identified and confirmed were minors, according to the complaint.

In all five videos the subjects were minor girls engaged in sexual acts, the complaint alleges.

The other 46 files were allegedly videos the center had previously recognized as child pornography.
