2014-15 Street Improvement

Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the City of Spring Lake Park until 1 P.M., CDT, Monday, March 31, 2014, at the Spring Lake Park City Hall, 1301 81st Ave NE, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the furnishing of all labor and material for constructing the above stated Project.
The Two-Year Project involves rehabilitation of 2.7 miles of residential streets and improvements to associated water, sanitary sewer, and storm utilities. Major items of work include approximately: 18,000 sq yd bituminous pavement removal, 35,000 sq yd full-depth pavement reclamation; 4,400 cu yd excavation; 20 tons aggregate base; 9,900 tons asphalt pavement; 4,000 lin ft concrete curb and gutter; 1,400 sq yd concrete driveway aprons; 650 lin ft storm sewer pipe replacement; 23 catch basin/drainage structures; 33 lin ft 8 sanitary sewer; 1 sanitary manhole; 160 cu yd topsoil; 11,000 sq yd seeding; erosion and sediment control, traffic control, and other miscellaneous and related work.
Bidders shall only submit forms provided for that purpose in accordance with the Bidding requirements prepared by Citys engineering consultant, Stantec, and dated March 2014. Submitted Bids shall be directed to the Public Works Director and enclosed in a sealed envelope and marked on the outside with BID ENCLOSED FOR 2014-2015 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, SPRING LAKE PARK, MINNESOTA. The Bidders name and address should also be included on the envelope. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to the City of Spring Lake Park in an amount of 5 percent of Bidders Total Bid Price and in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or bank check.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any irregularity or informality in a Bid, and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.
