Hillbillies strike ‘black gold’ at Coon Rapids Civic Center

The Coon Rapids Community Players present “The Beverly Hillbillies” March 21 through April 6 at the Coon Rapids Civic Center.

A three-act comedy based on the popular 1960s television show, “The Beverly Hillbillies” tells of the comedy and chaos that results when a poor mountaineer who barely kept his family fed strikes oil (“black gold that is, Texas tea”) and becomes a millionaire.

Showtimes are Fridays at 7 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m.

All performances are at the Civic Center, 11155 Robinson Drive NW, Coon Rapids, and tickets for the show are adults, $15; seniors and students, $12.
