Those bears were built when 44 students in the high school’s Distributive Education Clubs of America, Health Occupations Students of America, and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America programs traveled to Mall of America and purchased Build-a-Bear packages there.

After outfitting the bears, students then packaged and delivered them to Children’s Hospitals of Minnesota (Minneapolis location) where they were distributed to the little patients.

“We did this last year, too. It’s a fun project and it’s fun to help make little kids smile, especially when they’re in the hospital,” said Sierrah Saker as she helped package the bears for delivery.
