Lakeside Lions Park will be dotted with 3,000 multi-colored plastic Easter eggs April 12.
The SLP Parks and Recreation Department and the Lions Club are co-sponsoring their first annual Easter egg hunt, geared for kids ages 2 and up.
The Easter egg hunt is free, but the Lions are accepting non-perishable food donations.
Families are asked to sign in at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 12.
Three separate hunts in distinct areas of the park will cater to kids in different age groups.
Children ages 2-4 will be off and running at 12:40 p.m. Any 5-7 year olds will hunt at 1 p.m., and kids 8 and up will face a more challenging search at 1:20 p.m.
The groups are planning for 300 kids, and the event will go on rain or shine.
The Easter Bunny may hop by for the festivities.
