Two from Anoka win annual senior cribbage tournament

Shirley Jacobson and Keith Doke won the 22nd annual Anoka County Senior Cribbage Tournament, staged April 11 at the Coon Rapids Senior Center.

Kris Niebler, Coon Rapids Senior Services program specialist, reports that 96 players enjoyed a morning of card games, refreshments, door prizes, and lunch during the event.

Jacobson and Doke, representing Anoka Senior Center, had a near perfect score of 843 points after seven games of play.

The traveling Anoka County Senior Cribbage Tournament trophy will be engraved with the names of this year’s winners and displayed at Anoka Senior Center.

Next year the tournament will be held at Fridley Senior Center.
