A felony charge was reduced to a misdemeanor in a plea agreement in Anoka County District Court involving a Coon Rapids man, accused of assaulting and injuring a woman.
Thomas William Miller, 60, entered guilty pleas April 14 to misdemeanor disorderly conduct and domestic assault charges after originally being charged with felony third-degree assault and misdemeanor domestic assault.
Miller, who remains free on his own recognizance, will be sentenced May 12.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred Jan. 23 when Miller yelled at the woman, threw some water on her head, then struck her head and hand with a glass.
The woman went to the hospital where she was diagnosed with a concussion and cut tendons on multiple fingers, which required surgery to repair.
