Saturday, May 10, Anoka’s Castle Field will play host to the St. Paul Saints.
The Saints will take on a team of Anoka Bucs and Metro Minny all-stars in the exhibition game. This is also a fundraiser for the completion of the new Castle Field, where the first full season of play is underway.
The gates open at noon with the first pitch to be thrown at 3 p.m.
But in the hours leading up to the game, the Saints will hold a warm up and batting practice 12:30-1:45 p.m. when kids will be allowed to stretch on the field with Saints players.
A home-run hitting contest will follow at 1:50 p.m.
The game is sponsored by Killebrew Root Beer and North Lake Brewing Co. All proceeds from the game will go toward future construction at Castle Field.
General admission seating is $7 in advance for all ages (or $10 at the gate). A limited amount of premium bucket seating is available for $20 each.
Advance tickets are available online at www.ci.anoka.mn.us, in person at city hall or by phone at 763-576-2980.
There will be no rain date available and no refunds. Ticket purchases are tax deductible donations.
Fun family activities will be offered on game day at Castle Field, but no tailgating will be allowed.
