Spring Lake Park council will make a decision following the reception of a letter of proof from the FHA stating that residential land next to commercial could restrict loans on mortgages.

District rejects curriculum director recommendation

A controversial motion to put Dr. Judy Strickler, current principal of Park Terrace School, in charge of curriculum and instruction when the position opens in July failed in a 3-3 tie vote for lack of majority. In a related matter, the board tables any vote on whether or not to continue the position of elementary principal on special assignment.

Eluding all cars

A freeway link across the northern suburbs from I-35W to I-94 proves as elusive as ever. A few segments are in place, for example, the TH 610 bridge across the Mississippi River from Coon Rapids to Brooklyn Park, and stage one of New Highway 10 from County Road J to Highway 65 in Blaine. But a step forward in one area goes hand in hand with a setback in another area. The good news is, efforts continue.
