Eager to celebrate summer and happy to raise funds and awareness for Toys for Joy and the MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce, organizers host the fourth-annual Summer Food Fest June 17.
The event takes place 4:30-7 p.m. at Aquatore Park, 9191 Lincoln St. NE, Blaine.
There, families and folks of all sorts can enjoy local food samples and family-oriented entertainment including live music, face painting, Krazy Hair (by Hair Designers of Blaine), inflatables, a fire truck, a squad car and more.
“This event really showcases the best there is of the north metro. From an abundance of food samples and entertainment to supporting local non-profits and meeting your neighbors and community leaders – it’s truly the place to be,” said MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce President Lori Higgins.
More than 20 local vendors are on tap to provide food samples. Look for tasty treats from Acapulco Mexican Restaurant, Bakers Square, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chili’s, Costco, Counselor Realty, Cub Foods, Dunn Bros Coffee, Edgewood Senior Living, Edible Arrangements, Gabe’s Rinkside Bar & Grill, Jimmy John’s, Leeann Chin, Moe’s, Nothing Bundt Cakes, The Nutrition Hub, Perkins, Subway, The Tavern Grill, Old Chicago, Potbelly, and Toys for Joy.
The event is also a Toys for Joy donation site. Bring a new unwrapped toy and receive a free soda in appreciation for your generosity.
