Local artists GB Leighton, Swag and the Austin Healy Band perform in the park for the first ever Rum River Music Fest July 19.
The event, staged at Sand Creek Park in Coon Rapids, begins at 3 p.m., music starts at 5 p.m. Proceeds benefit HOPE 4 Youth, a nonprofit organization serving youth experiencing homelessness in Anoka County.
“We’re extremely excited to introduce the Rum River Music Fest to the northwest metro and Twin Cities,” said Deb Lande, HOPE 4 Youth executive director. “Our goal is to produce an annual outdoor music event offering live music and fun for the community while supporting HOPE 4 Youth programs that move young people off the dark streets and into a bright future.”
Tickets for Rum River Music Fest are $20 (general admission); $15 (group tickets of 10 or more); free for children 15 years old and younger.

About HOPE 4 Youth
HOPE 4 Youth is a nonprofit community organization serving youth who are experiencing homelessness through Housing, Outreach, Prevention and Education (HOPE).
The organization serves youth under age 24 and operates on the vision that all youth will feel safe, valued, and supported while reaching their full potential. This begins with meeting their basic needs and leads to giving them the tools to thrive.
Between eight and 30 youth visit the drop-in center each day.
