Free tickets are available for the annual Coon Rapids St. Paul Saints Day, which will take place at the Saints’ baseball game Wednesday, Aug. 27 against Winnipeg.
The has city received 250 free tickets for the game in exchange for the city’s CTN Studios providing television coverage of two Saints games during the season.
According to Matt Stemwedel, assistant city manager, the tickets will be available to city council, city staff and advisory commission members, as well as residents.
Half the tickets will be set aside for council, staff and commissioners with the remaining 125 going to residents on a first-come, first-served basis, Stemwedel said.
Any tickets not sold by Aug. 20 will be made available to either group, again on a first-come, first served basis, he said.
Tickets will generally be limited to five per employee, commissioner and residential address, Stemwedel said.
According to Stemwedel, the tickets not only include admittance to the 7:05 p.m. game, but also to a pre-game meal.
The potential for future larger-scale CTN coverage projects is being considered once the Saints move into their new stadium now under construction in St. Paul, he said.
Tickets for the Aug. 27 game must be picked up in person at the information desk at the Coon Rapids City Center, 11155 Robinson Dr. NW.
