Awards, recognition for 4-H’ers

The Anoka County 4-H graduation and scholarship ceremony took place at the Anoka County Fair July 27.

Thirty-six 4-H members from the Anoka County 4-H Program graduated and are equipped to use the leadership and life skills they acquired through 4-H as they move on to higher education, enter the workforce or both.

Scholarships were also awarded at the ceremony. This year’s Amber Boyd Memorial Scholarship (awarded to an active 4-H member who has demonstrated leadership and achievement skills within the horse project) was awarded to Claire Gonsales.

Youth Education Scholarships are awarded each year to active 4-H members who have demonstrated leadership and achievement skills in many aspects of the county program. This year’s winners included Courtnie Dritz, Deveny Miles, Bailey Stack, and Jessica Torok.
