Pioneer of law enforcement in Anoka County dies

As the longest tenured Anoka County Sheriff, serving between 1960 and 1986, Ralph “Buster” Talbot led many of the initiatives that made the sheriff’s office into what it is today, friends and family said.

The lifelong Anoka County resident died June 14 at the age of 86.
