The Coon Rapids Recycling Center now has self-serve paper shredders available for residents to use during all operating hours, five days a week. Residents are responsible for shredding their own paper and staff will recycle material once you’re done.
In 2015, the average amount of paper shredded at the city’s monthly shredding events was 3.81 tons compared to 2016 when the average monthly amount has increased to 4.75 tons.
Do not leave paper or machines unattended while shredding. Be sure to remove all paper clips and rubber bands. Staples, however, may be left on.
Please limit shredding to one box of paper per visit. Monthly paper shredding events for larger amounts will continue to be held on the first Saturday of the month in 2016.
The Coon Rapids Recycling Center is located at 1831 111th Avenue NW.
