Team: Anoka

Coach: Shannon Blansette

2016 record: 9-4 in NWSC/15-10 overall

2016 postseason finish: 3rd in Section 7AAAA

Key returners: Pitchers – Trent Palmer, Josh Barker, Marcus Bouley and Dalton Hoffman. Position players – Trent Palmer, Max Ploof and Trent Fredenburg. Newcomers: Hunter Smith and Adam Stjern.

Coach’s outlook: We return a solid group of pitchers including two All-NWSC pitchers Trent Palmer and Josh Barker. Pitching will continue to be our strength in 2017. I expect us to be in the mix near the top half of the NWSC which automatically places you as a contender in the postseason. The conference is just so good top-to-bottom so a lot of it is about the pitching matchup you see that day. If we can play good defense, I think we can hang around and steal a few games.
