Since 2013, I have primarily covered the Anoka-Hennepin and Spring Lake Park school districts as well as the city of Spring Lake Park for ABC Newspapers.

The Franklin Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization hosted its annual Family Fun Night at the Anoka school the evening of March 31.

Hundreds came to play carnival games and bid on silent auction items.

For four tickets, attendees could send someone to “jail,” which seemed like an awfully cheerful place.

Families enjoyed concessions, and many kids’ faces were painted before the evening was through.
