TC Orthopedics breaks ground in Blaine

I cover the cities of Andover, Blaine and Ramsey. I have worked at ABC Newspapers since August 2007.

Twin Cities Orthopedics broke ground on its new and first stand-alone location in Blaine on June 8, alongside Blaine Mayor Tom Ryan.

The 48,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open in the summer of 2018 at 11225 Ulysses St. NE. It will include a clinic, surgery center, orthopedic urgent care, physical therapy, hand therapy, sports medicine and joint replacement.

This facility marks the ongoing expansion of Twin Cities Orthopedics, which by the end of 2017 will have 40 locations throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

While Twin Cities Orthopedics has no stand-alone location in Blaine, it does lease space at the Blaine Medical Center.

Rob Simmons, chief operating officer, said the plan is to no longer lease this space once its new Blaine location is open.
