Summer festivals at Village of Blaine

Sounds will sizzle during Summer at Blaine.

The Village of Blaine Shopping Center will host two free events for the whole family this summer.

The Teddy Bear Band will kick off the festivities on July 15, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., along with a balloon artist and face painting.

Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch or purchase food from restaurants near the stage, which will be located between Applebee’s and Bonfire Wood Fire Cooking.

Summer at Blaine’s second event will feature local car enthusiasts who are invited to showcase their vehicles on Aug. 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite cars to win one of the “best of” categories. Voting starts at 11 a.m. and closes at 1:15 p.m. Trophies will be presented at 1:45 p.m.

There will be live music from Echo’s of Elvis backed by Rich and the Resistors.
