East Bethel Booster Days coming up July 14-15

East Bethel’s Booster Days is right around the corner on Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15, at the East Bethel Community Center with a few new events this year.

Friday will kick off with the East Bethel Fire Department’s waterball at 7 p.m. at the East Bethel Community Center. The event will be followed by a free showing of the classic Indiana Jones movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” courtesy of Chops Inc.

The community center will hold a pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Saturday, with a flag raising ceremony at 8 a.m. and a 5K fun run and walk at 8:15 a.m. Children can join the fast-paced fun with the 1K run at 9:15 a.m. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office will offer fingerprinting at 11:30 a.m.

Booster Park registration for the kiddie parade begins at 10 a.m. with the kiddie parade proceeding at 11 a.m. The grand parade will also start at 11 a.m. The East Bethel Royalty Pageant will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the East Bethel Ice Arena.

With a new year comes new events. For this year, a medallion hunt, Paint in the Park, Touch-A-Truck, Kid Power with Rachel and more will be events not to be missed. Throughout Booster Days, plenty of food, craft and bake sales, quilt raffles, silent auctions, inflatables and more will be available.

Booster Days will wrap up the weekend with the 56th annual firefighter dance with live music by Good for Gary from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The fireworks display will shoot off at dusk.
