Editor’s Note: The event was scheduled for Tuesday, July 18 but the city of Blaine is moving the event to Wednesday, July 19 because of the severe weather forecast for Tuesday evening.
The Blaine Family Fun Night will return to Aquatore Park from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19.
Admission is free. Kids can enjoy a number of fun activities such as bouncy houses, inflatable water slides and obstacle course. All can enjoy a refreshing helping of ice cream from Big Dip Creamery, cotton candy, pizza from Little G’s Mobile Pizzeria, beverages from Otis Concessions and plenty of other vendors.
Nate Monahan, recreation manager in the Blaine Parks Department, has hosted the Family Fun Night annually for 10 years. The inflatables seem to grab the most attention among the children. The event usually draws in 700 to 900 kids each year.
Last year there was talk about charging a $5 fee per child. Monahan has confirmed this will not be the case. Children will only have to pay if purchasing food.
