A July 8 crash in East Bethel involving two motorcycles claimed the life of a second person.

Gregory William Ettawageshik, 56, of Minneapolis, died July 10 at the Hennepin County Medical Center, the medical examiner said on July 14.

Sara Cassell Gilbert, 50, of Eden Prairie, was the passenger on Ettawageshik’s motorcycle. She was pronounced dead on July 8.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, two Harley Davidson motorcycles were heading north on Highway 65 in East Bethel just before 3 p.m. July 8.

Ettawageshik was slightly ahead of another Harley driven by 50-year-old Blaine resident Neil Raymond Tessler. Sherri Ann MacRae, 46, of Lino Lakes, was a passenger on Tessler’s bike.

Ettawageshik’s motorcycle was struck when he was turning right to exit at 184th Avenue, according to the state patrol.

Both motorcycles rolled and all occupants were thrown off. Nobody was wearing helmets and both drivers had been drinking, according to the state patrol.
