Good turnout at RumRiver Art Center events

The city of Ramsey has been holding community events at Elmcrest Park over the summer. Children and parents have had the opportunity to participate in activities such as air painting, learning the basics of photography, creating mosaic bee houses out of broken china and more.

Larry Weinberg, director of the RumRiver Art Center, said each event has had a good turnout.

“We have received a lot of positive feedback from the participants and community. They are very appreciative of the City of Ramsey offering the program,” Weinberg said.

The next event will be a beginner’s course on charcoal drawing on Aug. 21. Events at Elmcrest Park will continue through December. For more information, visit the RumRiver Art Center website at www.rumriverart.com or contact Larry Weinberg at 763-323-8830.
