St. Francis High School held its pep fest last Friday morning, Oct. 6, and crowned Jaren Ingberg as its homecoming king and Kylie Bergman as its homecoming queen.
Ingberg plays football and basketball for the Saints. He plans to attend college to become a physical therapist.
Bergman participates in basketball, softball, tennis, the yearbook committee, concert choir, Madrigals, and is vice president of the National Honor Society. Next year, she will be enrolled at Northwestern University and plans to become a child life specialist.
Other candidates for homecoming king were Jake Hoefer, Tanner Kunshier, Luke Lipinski and Dawson Neece.
Autumn Doerr, Abby Hennen, Carin Meier and Bailey Reitz were the other candidates for homecoming queen.
After the crowning ceremony, students from different groups let their classmates know when their next games or performances were. Custodians and teachers squared off in a broomball competition, guys and girls showed off their dancing moves and the marching band drumline got the crowd energized with rousing cadences.
