Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts and the Anoka County Libraries present a celebration of the arts at Family Art Sunday, 1-3 p.m. Sept. 21. The highlight of the afternoon comes with a 2 p.m. songwriting performance by James Hersch and his summer songwriting students.

The Andover City Council spent a good portion of an over two-hour meeting Sept. 2 discussing three housing projects. Although all received unanimous approvals to move onto the next stage, there is still much work to be done before any groundbreaking happens.
